"Oh Baby, What a Weekend!"

This weekend was somewhat uneventful, but I figured it was worth sharing what my version of an uneventful weekend looks like.
Friday I had off!  This was my last Friday off, we are now back to normal five day work weeks. Boooooo!  I was sure to make the most of it and spent the majority of the day out by the pool reading up on what this whole birth process entails. Honestly, I stopped shortly after "mucus plus".   I'll have to pick up where I left off at some point.  I caught up on some "blog things" poolside before coming in and watching a 3 hour marathon of "Pot Cops".   Day off...very well spent indeed!

Saturday was spent running errands for Baby Girl in Wesley Chapel!  We had another pile of things that needed to go back to Babies R' Us and be swapped out.  We also used a "15% off the remainder of our registry coupon"and burned through a few more gift cards.  For lunch, we had Tijuana Flats - a favorite of mine!  Next stop was Target where I stocked up on nursing bras and tanks (exciting).  We got home nice and early, and made it a movie night.  Has anyone seen "Savages"?  Weird...I still don't know if I liked it or not.

Sunday was devoted to clearing out the MESS of a nursery.  Every time we organize things in there, we get a whole new haul of goodies...and it becomes a disaster all over again.  That is definitely not a complaint, believe me!  After another load of laundry I discovered that Baby Girl has 18 bibs, 16 receiving blankets, and more pairs of socks than Stephen and I combined!  We rearranged the furniture a little bit again, Hubs put together the stroller, and I even gathered everything together that will go into Baby Girl's hospital bag.  It was a good day!  Nothing like a cozy/productive day home!

That was my weekend, now back to work!  Hopefully I'm well rested, it is going to be a busy week. The students are coming on Friday for Open House already!

Check out my lovely 'Savory' Sponsor:

  1. Sounds like a productive and relaxing weekend! I only have this week left before we return to school, so I am savoring each day and trying to get things accomplished. I love Tijuana Flats and the one in Wesley Chapel is the one we go to since my hubby's family lives there, what a small world! Have you posted nursery pictures? That would be great to see!

  2. yayy baby things! Productive weekends are the best, and sometimes they may not always be my favorite, they always leave me super refreshed and ready for the week!

okay one thing baby fever beats is reading about the nasty things that happen during the birthing process, I am not excited for that;)

  3. Aw what a great weekend. Boo for 5 day work weeks. My best friend works at a university and she gets Friday's off during the summer. I saw you on the link up :)
